Abstract

The objective of this study was to investigate whether or not by Using Video affected student listening comprehension achievement. This study used Quasi experimental method. The population of this study was tenth grade student of SMK PGRI 1 Palembang with total number 297 Student, Two classes became the sample, which was taken as the sample by using convenience sampling. The student divided into two group 36 student for Control Group and 35 student for experimental group. the control group was taught by using teacher strategy and the experimental group was taught using video. The instrument of collecting the data was multiple choice tests, the research used test-retest method and measure test-retest method Pearson Correlation Coefficient in SPSS 23 was used. The result of the analysis showed that t-obtained (5.382)was higher than critical value of t-table ( 1.999) and p output (0.00) was lower than level significance 0.05. Therefore it could be concluded that use of video is effective to improve students’ listening comprehension achievement at tenth grade student of SMK PGRI 1 Palembang.
