Abstract

This research is entitled Loneliness In The Elderly Muslim In Panti Tresna Werdha Teratai Palembang. This study aims to find the Loneliness of the Elderly Muslim at the Tresna Werdha Terati Palembang. In this study, the type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. The results of this study indicate that the Muslim Elderly in Panti Tresna Werdha Teratai Palembang feel lonely. The cause of loneliness is, not having a family anymore because all the families have died, although there is but no one wants to take care or care, and the limitations of interactions and situations that exist in the orphanage. The form of loneliness experienced by the subject is first; Emotional loneliness, this loneliness arises in the absence of an intimate figure of affection and it can be obtained from the spouse or the nearest person such as the family. Second; Social loneliness, loneliness is due to the limitations of interaction and situations that exist because the situation and state of the orphanage is not the same as the environmental situation outside the crowded orphanage.
