Abstract

Students‟ learning style and reading comprehension achievementh is essential to know it. Is there any significant correlation between learning styles and their reading score. The objectives of this study were (1) to find out the most frequently style used by the eleventh graders of MAN 3 Palembang, and (2) To find out whether or not the students‟ learning styles correlate with their reading comprehension achievement.The method of the study used a descriptive method with a correlation study. The population was all the students attendingthe 11th grade MAN 3 Palembang academic year 2016-2017. By choosing the purposive sampling. There were 151 students involved as participantsin this research. The data were collected by reading comprehension test and questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed by using Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient and Percentage Analysis. The results showed that (1) the students‟ learning styles and used their reading comprehension achievement was auditory style, (2) there was no significant correlation between students‟ learning styles and their reading comprehension achievement. Key words: Learning style, and Reading Comprehension achievement.
