Abstract
Cooperative learning with type probing-prompting is a study involving all of students in the class to make a group consist of 5-6 heterogen student, in this method teacher will give a questions to unearth information and guide student to get the right answer. This research intended to know the effect of cooperative learning with probing-prompting technique on the student class VII in SMPN 53 Palembang, especially on the matery trapezoid. Variable in this research are cooperative learning models with probing-prompting technique as independent variable and students result of studying mathematic as dependent variable. Sample in this research is class VII.2 as experiment class and class VII.1 as control class. The method used is experiment method. Collection of data used is a kind of test to know the students result of studying mathematic. Data analysis using a hypotheses test. Based on data obtained on the description of data, and hypotheses that be done, with free degrees and standard of significand is 0,05%. , .from both of the score we can compate that . Writer make a conclusion that these is a effect of cooperative learning model with probing-prompting technique on the student result of studying mathematic.
