Abstract

This aim of this study is to determine the different of the application of active learning strategy-type of the firing line and index card match for student learning outcomes in the human respiratory system material. Active Learning Strategy-type of the firing line is expected to improve results for students at SMP Negeri 39 Palembang. The type of this study is experimental research which used true experimental design "pretest-posttest control group design", which consists of two classes, namely the experimental class and control class. Class experiment using active learning strategy-type of the firing line, while the control group using active learning strategies-type of index cards macth. Tests were before treatment (pretest) and after treatment (posttest). To obtain the necessary data, so in this study using analysis t-test. The t-test showed thitung = 0.24 < ttable = 1.6684 (α = 0.05) indicating that there is no difference between the results of student learning outcomes to use active learning strategy-type of the firing line and index card match in the human respiratory system materials in SMP N 39 Palembang, because the experimental class and control class uses the same of active learning strategy. Experimental class use type the firing line and control class use type of index cards match. Active learning strategy -type of the firing line and index card match can improve student learning outcomes.
