Abstract

Science and technology are constantly evolving and progressing, in accordance with the changing times and the development of human thinking. In this condition the teacher no longer serve as the sole source of learning. In this condition the teacher no longer serve as the sole source of learning. Teachers are required to be able to design learning by utilizing various media types appropriate for the learning process is effective and efficient. The problems in this study is whether there are differences in students' learning activities before and after applying the strip media story on the subjects of Islamic religious education materials Qur'anic verses about tolerance class XII in SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Palembang. The purpose of this study to determine the effect of media usage strip story on student learning activities on the subjects of Islamic Religious Education class XII SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Palembang. This study is a quasi-experimental research (Quasi-experimental) research design One - Group Prettest-posttest design. using a quantitative approach. The population in this research were 132 students of class XII. The sample used in this study were 35 students of class XII IPA1 as an experimental class. The collection of data through observation, documentation and Likert scale questionnaire. Research data analysis using descriptive statistics and t-test. Based on the test data analysis requirements, showed that the results of questionnaire scores of students in the experimental class normally distributed, because the price Km lies between -1 and +1 in the interval (-1 ˂ Km ˃ +1). Then test the homogeneity of the results of the questionnaire scores of students in the experimental class showed that normal data and homogeneous. Data is said to be homogeneous if F count has a greater significance than the level error of 5% or 0.05. After calculation formula t-test on a student questionnaire score results obtained t count equal to 17.75 then consulted with t table with dk = (n1 + n2-2) or 35 + 35-2 = 33 with a significance level of 5% ie 1.68 , Having consulted turned out t hitung˃t table or 17,75˃1.68. This means that Ho is rejected and Ha accepted. This shows that the use of the media strip story effect on student learning activities on the subjects of Islamic Religious Education class XII in SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Palembang. The conclusion of this study is to teach using media strip story influence on student learning activities on the subjects of Islamic Religious Education class XII in SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Palembang. It is suggested that the use of media Strip Story in teaching and learning, including the learning of Islamic Education.
