Abstract

This research has a goal to produce a material which learned about beam geometry by using Borland Delphi 7 for eight grade student which fulfilled a valid and practice criteria and has a potential effect. Actually this research is concluding as a Research and Development theory based on the improving of the researched itself. Research procedure beam geometry material by using Borland Delphi 7 has ten (10) steps, they are problem identification, data collection, product design, validity design, revision design, testing product, revision product, testing by using, the last product revision and mass production. Subject in this research is eight grade students which has an amount around 35 students, which are classified into 10 for small group and 25 for large group. Data collection technique which used is validation sheet, practical questionnaire, practical observation, and test. Based on the validation result from 5 validating factor, consequently have an average score for learning material about 84,5 %, lesson plan (RPP) about 81.78%, practical questionnaire sheet around 81,87%, observation sheet about 81,25%, and posttest sheet result about 80% that is why by all means the instrument which is already used can be category as an extremely valid. Based on practical questionnaire which testing for small group and have a result 92,8% and for large group have an average score around 92% which can be desire as an extremely practice. Furthermore for observation result from every meeting for each group, the small group has 78,5% and large group 82,2% as their average score, that is why this step also can be called very practice to be used. Last explanation, based on testing step in small group 76 as the average score and for large group 81,46667 as the average score. It means the learning material by using Borland Delphi 7 has potential effect for students. Finally beam geometry as a learning material by using Borland Delphi 7 which is already developed can be used for math eight grades junior high school students.
